Interest-free Banks have three major kinds of deposit accounts: saving, demand and investment. All type of IFB deposits can be operated in the same way as conventional deposits. The difference lies on the benefit that should be provided to the depositors and the guarantee given to them. Depositors provide their funds to the Bank based on profit and loss sharing or safekeeping.

The basic concept is that the Bank places the client’s funds in its pool of ethically permissible assets. The return that the Bank obtains from these assets is shared between the client and the Bank.

This current account is an account which is regarded as trusts or safe keeping and offers the depositors’ safety of their money against the bank’s guarantee.
