You would have to go to one of Tsehay Bank Branch open an account by bringing documents that confirm your eligibility like
– ID card
– Passport
– Driver license
– Trade license
– Tax Identification Card
By one of all these documents, you should open an account to get ATM Card.

Fifty (50) birr is the minimum payment for the ATM card.

When Tsehay Bank card holder forgets or loses his or her pin he or she can go to the nearby Tsehay Branches and apply for a pin replacement. The new pin will be produced and sent to the requesting branch in sealed envelope. The customer can collect the new pin by signing on the PIN delivery register book.

If the customer tries the wrong PIN more than three times, the PIN will be blocked. In this case, the customer should wait 24 hours before trying it again. After 24 hours, the PIN will be active.

If a customer lost his/her card, he/she should go to the nearby branch to request a replacement card.

ATM terminals may retain customers’ cards for different reasons. If the ATM is located on the branch premises, the cardholder should inform the branch. If the ATM is located off premises, the cardholder should call to locate the relevant branch. The card will be delivered to the cardholder by the responsible personnel of the branch after verification.

ATMs may reject cards whenever the cards are damaged, if the cards are expired, etc … Whenever that happens, the cardholder should call and inform the Bank to ask go to the nearby branches to take replacements.

The cardholder should call nearby Tsehay Bank and register, then the cash is returned back to the account within 15 days.

The customer needs to have an account with the bank before opening Fixed Time Deposit account. Negotiate with the branch for the interest rate

Teenagers saving accounts benefit Teenagers between the age of 14 and 18. Others (those who do not have their own source of income) can open the account with their parents or guardians.

Features of Tesfa Teenagers Saving Account:
• Depending on the outstanding deposit balance, progressive interest rate will be applied.
• When the teen turns 18, the saving account shall be converted to Gubil Youth Saving account, Kibirt Women’s Saving account or ordinary saving account.

Any individual whose age is 50 years and above can open Elders (Tila) Saving Account. Early retirees such as soldiers, teachers and doctors under the age of 50, who can provide evidence.

Features of Tila Elders Saving Account
• Charges for ATM transaction fee and safe deposit box rent will be discounted by 15%;
• A special customer identity card will be prepared for the account holder to give priority entertainment at counters;
• For own business startup or expansion of existing business free business consultancy service and credit facilities will be arranged as per the Bank’s credit procedure;
• Depending on the outstanding deposit balance, progressive interest rate will be applied; and
• The customer transacting through Tila elders’ debit card will be beneficiary of discounts secured from the Bank’s partners.

Minors Saving Account (Eshet) benefits children under the age of 14. Children can open this saving account through their parents or guardians.

Features of (Eshet) Minors Saving Account

• The account can be opened by a parent or a guardian individually or jointly;
• The parent or guardian administers the saving account until the minor turns the age of 18;
• Birth certificate or any other evidence given by legally authorized entity is required; and
• Depending on the outstanding deposit balance, progressive interest rate will be applied.

Youth Saving Account (Gubil) benefits individuals between the age of 18 and 25.

Features of Gubil Youth Saving Account

  • Debit card will be issued free of charge for students who can produce student ID as evidence;
  • The Bank covers half of the cost of debit card for others who cannot produce student IDs;
  • Access to priority Banking service for depositors
  • with amount exceeding ETB 500 thousand and for this special identification card will be issued;
  • For own business startup or expansion of existing business free business consultancy service and credit facilities will be arranged as per the Bank’s credit procedure;
  • The customer transacting through Gubil youth’s debit card will be beneficiary of discounts secured from the Bank’s partners;
  • When the account holder turns 25 years of age, the account shall be converted to ordinary saving account or Kibirt women’s saving account; and
  • Depending on the amount of outstanding balance, progressive interest rate will be applied.

Women whose age are 18 and above; and associations with a majority of women members.
Can open women’s (Kibirt) Saving Account.

Features of Kibirt Women’s Saving Account
• An increased daily ATM cash withdrawal limit will be arranged;
• Access to priority Banking service for depositors with amount exceeding ETB 500 thousand and for this special identification card will be issued;
• Free debit card will be issued linked to women’s saving account;
• For own business startup or expansion of existing business free business consultancy service and credit facilities will be arranged as per the Bank’s credit procedure;
• The customer transacting through Kibirt women’s debit card will be beneficiary of discounts secured from the Bank’s partners; and
• Depending on the amount of the outstanding deposit balance, progressive interest rate will be applied.

Proforma Invoice, import /investment /Factory/ license, and undertaking letter

Foreign currency approval, valid import /investment / factory license, proforma invoice, insurance certificate, permit, LC application(for LC), purchase order for (CAD), undertaking letter for (TT), other and letters from respective government authority based on the items to be imported.

Valid Export /investment /factory license, Sales contract, LC for LC export, undertaking letter for CAD/ Consignment and TT Export, credit or cash sales advice ticket for advance payment export commercial invoice, export permit, and letters from respective government authority based on the items to be exported.

Request letter and availability of fund for the amendment requested based on the request type
