Tsehay Bank Inaugurates its 2nd Branch In Hawassa City

Senior government officials of the City Administration, representatives of the business community, Sidama Elders, St. George Club fans in Hawassa and other invited guests attended the inauguration ceremony on 23 November, 2023.

Revenues Office Head of the City Administration, Melaku Markos mentioned that the city has been registering significant growth over the past couple years. He attributed that private banks that opened branches in the city have played a big role in the growth registered by Hawassa city.

He called on Tsehay Bank to open more branches in districts of Sidama Regional State, as the area is known for cash crop production. In this regard, the city administration will provide Tsehay Bank with the necessary assistance, he vowed.

“Tsehay Bank’s 2^nd branch in Hawassa, named ‘Arab Sefer’, will benefit residents of the city as well as cash crop producers in the surround districts,” CEO of Tsehay Bank, Yared Mesfin said.

“Regular and IFB Customers in Hawassa can now access fast, technology-based and efficient banking services in both branches of Teshay Bank,” he added.

He mentioned that in addition to the regular savings, financing and loan services, Tsehay Bank has started providing efficient Mobile Banking, Card Banking and International Banking services.

The Bank, which has a network of 82+ branches across Ethiopia, will soon open additional branches in different parts of the country including Shashemene Town, the CEO added.

Mr. Yared went on to assert that Tsehay Bank will increase its accessibility to customers by enhancing its agency banking services as well as mobile and card banking services.
